Your detox cure for at home

TAKE A LITTLE AYURVEDIC DETOX BREAK WITHOUT DIETING OR STARVING YOURSELF

Over the course of the winter, we have accumulated a lot of toxins. We haven't been out in the fresh air as often, we've exercised less and eaten more, and now spring is the time to get rid of the toxins and start the warm season full of energy. Many cultures and religions fast around Easter to cleanse the body and mind, and from an Ayurvedic perspective this is also the ideal time to do so. The Kapha Dosha gives us a damp and still cool time and the energy-sapping time of winter, the Vata-ruled time, is finally coming to an end. The days are getting noticeably longer and we can already enjoy some sunbathing.

It is the best time to rekindle your agni - the digestive fire.

Agni is a very central issue when it comes to long-term physical and mental health. I have described the central role played by the digestive fire in more detail below, and since, from an Ayurvedic point of view, Agni must never come to a complete standstill, Ayurveda does not recommend complete fasting, in the sense of abstaining from food, but a restricted, special diet, so there will be no starvation or self-mortification . All dishes are delicious, easy to digest and smell irresistible due to the digestive spices (even family members and colleagues will fight over your Ayurvedic "fasting food").

an ayurvedic cleansing...

- Restores a sense of calm to the mind and nervous system - Promotes mental and emotional clarity - Provides more energy, vitality and zest for life - Leads to a healthy body weight - Helps to restore and maintain a regenerative sleep cycle - Promotes regular and balanced digestive performance - Clears toxins from the tissues, opens the body channels and creates the conditions for an optimal supply of vital substances - Promotes immunity - Provides a beautiful, clear complexion - Improves radiance

Please note:Even if the Ayurvedic detox time-out is very gentle, toxins can still emerge from all body channels and smell unpleasant or cause temporary skin blemishes, as with other fasting cures, and the cleansing is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women or for weakened or sick people.

However, if you want to have children, Ayurveda strongly recommends that both partners do a cleansing about three months before conception.

Phase 1 - the preparation

In order to achieve an optimal and long-lasting result from your Ayurvedic detox cure, I would like to give you a few useful tips for the preparation phase:The preparation phase should ideally be started 14 days in advance. Your digestive system will have to adjust a little and can start the sustainable cleansing process much more quickly with these little tips.If you are already well versed in Ayurveda and perhaps realize that you have already been implementing much of this for a long time, you can of course start the actual cure right away without any "detours".The phases of the moon can provide very good support for detox cures. Ideally, you should start the intensive detoxification phase with the waning moon. Take a look at a lunar calendar.

Please get all the little helpers and ingredients you need to carry out the cleaning practices and cooking in good time.

You can usually get everything in a health food store. Alternatively, look online for suppliers of Ayurveda products. On my website you will find a starter kit and addresses that I can recommend, as well as preparing your family and social environment and avoiding invitations, meals or birthdays etc. so that you are not tempted to interrupt your detox time.

DETOX CURE WITH AYURVEDA

In my online course, I will show you how you candetoxify and cleanse all your organsin 14 days -without sacrificing pleasure.

Do a mind detox

Our thoughts influence our mood. "Toxic" thoughts rob us of strength and energy, which is why it is beneficial for your well-being if you also do a mental detox. As a first mental detox exercise, try to dedicate the time in the morning entirely to yourself and avoid looking at your phone as soon as you get up to check social media or read the news before you are even properly awake. Spend the first hour of the day without your smartphone.

Allow yourself this time consciously for yourself. After getting up, stretch out in all directions and then breathe in and out deeply through your nose a few times with your eyes closed. Now open your eyes slowly and concentrate on what you perceive:

How does your body feel? What do you hear and see around you? Can you feel your breath?

When thoughts come, simply notice them without interpreting them. Something like this: "Aha, I'm thinking about whether I've really prepared everything for this afternoon's meeting. I'll take care of that in the office." Then focus on the moment again. This little mindfulness exercise helps you to be fully in the now. This conscious start to the day gives you strength for all the tasks and challenges that await you.

If you want to train your mindfulness in a more advanced way, sit upright in a favorite place on the floor or on a cushion and meditatively observe your breath. This exercise will only take you 5-15 minutes of your day and will help you to focus and concentrate for the whole day.

10 USEFUL TIPS ON HOW TO DETOX DESPITE EVERYDAY LIFE

1. the best time for this preparation period is the two weeks before the full moon, as we can then enter the deeper cleansing process with the waning moon phases and use the moon as an important supporter for a better detox.2. drink 2-3 liters of warm water outside of meals, preferably in a large thermos flask and drink it in sips throughout the day, but take a break 30 minutes after meals3. Eat mainly warm and cooked food. In this way you can anticipate important digestive processes for your Agni.4 Eat a maximum of three regular meals a day and avoid snacks between meals.5 Leave about 5 hours between meals and only eat when you really feel "genuinely" hungry. Your pancreas will thank you for it and this alone is a very important tip to strengthen your overall digestive performance.5 Eliminate refined sugar, dairy products, cheese, meat, sausage and fried foods from your diet. You don't have to adhere to this strictly during the preparation phase, but it will give you an even better and more lasting detox experience.6. add 1-3 teaspoons of ghee to your warm meals every day (you can find the recipe in Ayurveda Doc Part 2). The ghee acts like a "lubricating oil" on your intestines and helps them to bind and expel the toxins that have been released.

7. fill up on vegetables and lentils!don't skimp on herbs, sprouts and ginger. If you manage to eat a predominantly vegetarian diet, detoxification will show far fewer of the detoxification symptoms mentioned, such as skin blemishes, foul-smelling sweat and sticky stools.8 Take your last meal before 7 p.m.Your Agni digestive fire now has enough time to eliminate toxins during the night. If you are very hungry or have not managed to eat in time, take a boullion of yellow lentils:

Light evening broth¼cup moong dahl/ yellow lentils 2 cups water1 tsp ghee¼ tsp cumin, turmeric, mustard seeds, curry powder (preferably homemade)½ cup vegetables, e.g. carrot, zucchini, cauliflower, hokkaido1 cm freshly grated ginger½ tsp rock saltPut all the ingredients in a pan and simmer the soup for 30 minutes until very soft. Drink the broth in small, pleasurable sips and it will nourish you and help you to have a regenerative sleep without putting too much strain on your digestive system.

9. avoid all food toxinsReducecoffee and alcohol in the first two weeks before the intensive cleansing phase, if possible and necessary also reduce smoking.10. move!if possible, move daily, at least 30 minutes a day. Preferably enjoyable and in the fresh air.
