Chai with cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and cloves. Just the thing after a long walk in the fresh air.
FOR 10 PEOPLE:
100 g cinnamon, broken into pieces (works very well wrapped in a kitchen towel and with a hammer)
40 g ginger root, dried and chopped
20 g cardamom, crushed
10 g coriander seeds
10 g fennel seeds
10 g cloves
10 g black pepper, freshly ground
2 bay leaves, dried and crushed
Mix the spices and store in a jar
Always shake vigorously before use. For one cup, add 1 tbsp of the tea mixture to 250 ml of boiling water. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, bring to the boil with almond milk and season with coconut blossom sugar. Enjoy warm. If you like it even hotter, add a few chopped chili peppers and cocoa pods. This mixture quickly dispels the inner chill and stimulates the body's own serotonin production. Gift tip: fill your mixture into pretty paper bags and give it as a gift. In the cold season, a warming tea blend goes down well with everyone.
Thanks to its essential oils, cinnamon has a circulatory stimulating effect on low blood pressure and aids digestion. It eliminates flatulence and tension in the intestines and has an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and fungicidal effect on intestinal infections. Cinnamon also has a soothing effect on coughs and hoarseness and is considered a stomach-strengthening agent.
